The Victorian AIDS Council has been working with governments and health services providers in HIV/AIDS education and support since 1983.

Our core aim is to preserve the independence, dignity and health of people living with HIV/AIDS, and to prevent the spread of HIV. To fulfil this we rely heavily on the contribution of our volunteers. We value their energy, enthusiasm and ideas, and we are committed to their on-going support. Without the vital contribution of volunteers our members'/clients' needs could not be met. At the same time, volunteering provides people with the opportunity to learn new skills, make a difference to peoples' lives, and experience many rewards. We are always looking for volunteers with all types of skills and abilities to work with us in a diverse range of areas.
