Developing programs that focus on issues related to GLBT community education, support & health enhancing projects, PLWHA social isolation and mental health, amongst others, is essential to ensure our service areas of health, care, education, and counselling remain responsive to the current epidemic. Implementing such programs is costly, but through your continued support, and the support of the community, business and various Trusts, the VAC/GMHC has been able to develop and resource a range of activities.
These programs and activities include:
The value and importance your contribution makes cannot be underestimated. Fundraising provides the means by which these projects can be established and continued. It also provides an opportunity to interact with the community and gain an understanding of the work of the VAC/GMHC by participating in and enjoying events.

| How your school can get involved The Victorian AIDS Council encourages schools to participate in World AIDS Day. There are a number of ways you can be involved, from organising fundraising events to encouraging students to explore HIV/AIDS related issues through the curriculum. To help you out we have prepared an information pack for you.

| David Williams Fund
The majority of funds raised by VAC/GMHC goes to the David Williams Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance for people with HIV/AIDS experiencing financial hardship.
