We are always looking for volunteers to help out at the Positive Living Centre. If you have day-time and/or evening availability, we would like to hear from you, please!
The three main areas where you can work are listed below.
Reception
Working at PLC reception involves answering telephones, welcoming members and visitors, making appointments, and providing some basic administration support.
Operations
Being a PLC Operations Volunteer means you get to help out in a number of areas, including: serving meals; some domestic duties, like washing the many towels used for massage; showing people around the PLC and explaining the many facilities and activities; preparing activity rooms; and, some occasional driving.
Massage
The massage program is one of the more popular facilities available to HIV-positive people. If you have a recognised qualification, or are nearing completion of a recognised course, then we have many places available for massage practitioners.
Please contact PLC reception on (03) 9863 0444 (or free-call 1800 622 795 for country callers) for more information, or please click on the 'e-mail us' link at the top of this page.
